Proud news comes from one of the boy groups made by SM Entertainment, NCT Dream . The boy group has recently been confirmed to be listed on Billboard’s “21 Under 21” list for the third consecutive year.
On yesterday, Friday (6/11), Billboard published a list of “21 Under 21” this year. The list itself is Billboard’s annual pick of the 21 young artists who had the most influence in the industry in the previous 12 months.
2020 list, which includes singers like Billie Eilish , Koffee , 24kGoldn , and Noah Cyrus . Listed artists are selected by Billboard’s editorial committee and reporters, which take into account factors such as “artist impact on consumer behavior,” “career trajectory,” “reputation among peers,” and more.
NCT Dream is not only the only K-pop artist to make the list this year. With their recent ranking entry, they are now the first Asian artists to enter the list for three consecutive years.
Billboard noted that NCT Dream’s newest mini album “Reload” catapulted them to the top of Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart earlier this year. Meanwhile NCT’s second full-length album “RESONANCE Pt. 1” recently hit No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the World Albums chart.
While continuing to soar to new levels with their latest release, NCT is also preparing for their comeback with “RESONANCE Pt. 2” on November 23rd. In the comeback, the group is rumored to be split into several new units for the upcoming album.
