There has been an important development about the EMUI 11 update that Huawei P40 Lite users are eagerly awaiting.

Huawei launched the Nova 6 series with Android 10 based EMUI 10 version in China in December 2019. This series consisted of Nova 6, Nova 6 5G and Nova 6 SE smartphones.

Following the launch, Huawei released the Nova 6 SE device with different names in more regions. The phone in question was put on the market with the names P40 Lite in European countries and Nova 7i in the Asian market.

Let’s come to the important development that is the subject of our news. Huawei Saudi Arabia stated on a question on Twitter that the Nova 7i will not be upgraded to EMUI 11. This development means that the P40 Lite and Nova 6 SE, which are offered for sale with the same phone and only different names, will share the same fate, meaning that they will not be upgraded to EMUI 11 version.
