Notepad, the text editor of the Windows operating system, will now be updated via the Microsoft Store, apart from major operating system updates, according to a statement made by Microsoft.

With the announcement of the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21337 release, Microsoft today announced that Notepad can now be updated via the Microsoft Store without installing a new version of the operating system.

It will be a separate application
Additionally, Microsoft would also remove Notepad from the Accessories folder in the Start menu and instead, the text editor would appear as a separate application. Microsoft also released the new icon for Notepad.

Thanks to its new location in the Start menu, it will be easier for the user to access Notepad, and the ability to update through the built-in app store will allow you to always have the latest version of the program.
