Nothing and Essential Phone have come together. An important purchase has been made in the mobile world. We can say that the stones are in place.
We will hear the names of Nothing and Essential Phone more often in the coming period. It is almost impossible to create a new brand from scratch and be successful in the current competitive environment in the smartphone world. Even Andy Rubin, one of the former senior executives of Google and described as the father of Android, did not achieve remarkable success in this area with the Essential Phone brand.
The Essential Phone brand, which has been in hibernation for a long time, will be mentioned frequently according to the latest information. If you ask why; It seems that an important purchase has been made in the mobile world.
Nothing and Essential Phone branded phones are coming
According to a new report on the 9to5Google site, the Essential Phone brand is now Nothing. In the report, Essential CEO Andy Rubin filed an application with the UK Intellectual Property Office that Essential transferred its brand assets to Carl Pei’s Nothing Technologies Limited.
The striking point here is that the application takes place on November 11, 2020. The transfer date seems to have taken place on January 6, 2021. As you can see, Nothing has put its head on developing smartphones before announcing that it will announce wireless headphones.
Essential Phone did not succeed; So Nothing?
Even if your founder is Andy Rubin, you may not be present in the mobile ecosystem. But for some reason, we think that the Nothing brand, which is quietly installed and will enter the market with a full wireless headset in the first place, will be very successful in the future. One of the most important reasons for this is that Carl Pei, who left OnePlus, is at the head of Nothing.
We do not have an official basis yet, but as we mentioned in our previous news, we think that the biggest supporter of the Nothing brand is the BBK Group. We would not be surprised if Nothing turns into a brand belonging to OnePlus in the future.
