Ricardo Salinas Pliego, the third richest man in Mexico, changed his Twitter bio to Bitcoin. Pliego; Michael Saylor of MicroStrategy, Anthony Scaramucci of Skybridge and, for a short time, Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, have joined many rich people whose biographies have stamped their commitment to BTC.
The 106th richest person in the world
Salinas is the third richest person in Mexico. He is also the 106th richest person in the world, according to Forbes.
Salinas is the founder and president of Grupo Salinas, a Mexican media and retail conglomerate consisting of TV Elektra, the country’s second-largest broadcaster, and Grupo Elektra, a home appliance and electronics retailer.
Salinas has been watching Bitcoin for a while. On October 21, 2020, he published a list of book recommendations, including the Bitcoin Standard, by economist Saifedean Ammous.
A month later, on November 17, Salinas tweeted an attack on fiat money in the Latin American banking system, saying “diversifying our portfolio is good.”

Bitcoin support from Salinas
Salinas also released an interview where he talked about Bitcoin. The last tweet about BTC of the year advised followers who might be interested in the currency to follow the account of Bitcoin guru Dan Held.
Yesterday, Salinas also shared a congratulatory tweet about Bitcoin that saw it hit a $ 40,000 price.
