OnePlus will make the official announcement of its new mid-range phone OnePlus Nord 2 5G in Europe and India on July 22.
The latest post by OnePlus has confirmed that the smartphone will use a 6.43-inch Full HD + resolution AMOLED display. The display will also have a scanning rate of 90Hz and will include HDR10+ support.
Finally, an official image of the phone was shared. Here we take a preview of the Nord 2 5G. Although the screen bezels are thin on the flat-screen phone, the bottom bezel is thicker. The front camera is placed in the upper left corner of the screen as expected.
Let’s talk about other technical features of the phone. Nord 2 5G will be powered by MediaTek’s octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor with 6nm manufacturing process. The fingerprint scanner will be placed under the screen on the phone, which is reported to be 8GB RAM + 128GB and 12GB RAM + 256GB.
The new Nord series phone comes with a triple rear camera package. The main camera will feature Sony’s 50-megapixel IMX766 sensor. This camera will be accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera, which will be used for selfies and video calls, appears to be 32 megapixels.
The OnePlus Nord2 will carry a 4,500mAh battery that is 10% larger than its 5G predecessor. The adapter that will come out of the box will be 65 watts.
