OnePlus has announced the phones and release program for OxygenOS 11.If you remember, the company posted a forum post last week about when it plans to release the OxygenOS 11 update on their phones.

Android 11 based software is currently available on OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 8 models. The open beta update will continue with OnePlus Nord this week. However, the updates will not be limited to these, but will also cover old phones.

OnePlus Nord will be the first phone to receive OxygenOS 11 this month. The phone was updated to OxygenOS 10.5.10 last week, but the company announced this week that it will roll out an Android 11-based open beta update for the smartphone. There is no information about when the full version will be implemented yet. The company states that they will act in line with the feedback from beta users and will gradually offer the full version of the software to the users.

Many OnePlus 7 and 7T users were also eagerly waiting for the Android 11 based update. Although the company plans to offer the new update to these phones in 2020, this plan was not realized due to a data encryption problem. However, now, working with Qualcomm on the solution of the problem, the company plans to release the OxygenOS 11 open beta for the OnePlus 7 and 7T series after the ongoing closed beta tests are completed.

Older OnePlus Models Will Also Receive OxygenOS 11 Update
OnePlus will also implement the new update for OnePlus 6 users. This situation contains a surprise in it. Because OnePlus 6 was released with Android 8.1 Oreo. Expectations were that this smartphone will only receive two major updates. OnePlus 6 also received two major updates, as expected, but OxygenOS 11 support was a surprise for users. The new update will be the third major software update the OnePlus 6 will receive, and we can say that we rarely see this.
