OPPO A55 comes with a new model, called 5G, with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset and a large battery. The Dimensity 700 chipset has a powerful Cortex-A76 core running at 2.2 GHz and a Cortex-A55 core running at 2GHz. The phone has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A microSD card slot also accompanies the phone to give the OPPO A55 5G more expandability.
On the front is a 6.5-inch LCD panel with HD + resolution and standard 60Hz refresh rate. The panel has a water drop notch that we are used to with an 8MP f / 2.0 camera built into it.
The model, which will have three cameras on the back, has an f / 2.2 lens main camera 13 megapixel and two 2 megapixel f / 2.4 cameras, one with an extra depth portrait sensor and the other macro camera for close-ups. Due to the limitations of the chipset, the OPPO A55 5G can record videos at up to 1080p at 30 fps while recording in slow motion 720p.
The model without any fast charging support (only 5V / 2A, 10W) has charging support and a 5,000 mAh battery. There is a USB-C port beside the 3.5mm audio jack under the phone. The fingerprint scanner is also integrated into the power key on the side.
The phone went on sale at OPPO’s own distribution channels in China such as Tmall and Suning for $ 245 / € 200.
