The first definitive information about the officially approved OPPO A74 appeared today. The middle segment market will be further mixed. Here is the first information…
The middle segment market becomes more and more important after the pandemic. The biggest reason for this is both the decrease in purchasing power and the shrinkage in the flagship processor market. OPPO manages to appeal to different user segments with the A series and Reno series in the mid-segment market. Today, the first official information about OPPO A74, the continuation phone of OPPO A73, which we met in October last year, has emerged.
As of today, the phone has been formally approved by the FCC, the Bureau of Indian Standards, TKDN in Indonesia, the Eurasian Economic Commission, and the Wi-Fi Alliance. Apparently, just like the A73 series, there will be a difference between 4G and 5G in the A74 series. 4G version will have 33W fast charging and 4G version will have 30W fast charging. The strangest difference is that the 4G version to be found on the software side will have ColorOS 7 and Android 10 in OPPO A74, while the 5G version will have Android 11 and ColorOS 11. We are quite curious how OPPO will explain this to the users who will buy the 4G version.
For now, this is the information we have about the new generation A74, which will have model number CPH2219 for 4G version and model number CPH2197 for 5G. Last year, the Qualcomm SM6115 Snapdragon 662 chipset was used in the OPPO A73 4G version; MediaTek MT6853V Dimensity 720 chipset was used in the OPPO A73 model with 5G support. Let’s see which chipsets OPPO will choose this year?
