Plex users will now be able to access the free and ad-supported content library on Apple TV. Integration is offered to users with updating.

The popular media storage and streaming platform Plex has started to offer the Apple TV integration as an update, which it has been testing in closed beta for a while. The integration is about Plex’s own library.

Plex and Apple TV integration
Adding live TV and on-demand content platforms to develop its user base, Plex recently started its integration with Apple TV. After beta tests, it started to be offered to the end user.

Plex and Apple TV integration will only be available for the platform’s own free and ad-supported content library. As part of the integration, Plex developers have submitted a content list to Apple. It is stated that users cannot transfer their own content libraries.

If the user quits after starting a content on Plex, it will appear in the Next Content row in the Apple TV app. Meanwhile, there may be content from other platforms such as Hulu, HBO, Amazon Prime Video. The Plex application is currently available for download from the App Store.
