In an online event held on Tuesday (12), the POCO F2 Pro, the second generation of smartphones in the Xiaomi sub-brand, was launched. Like the first, launched in 2018, the new device has impressive features for a competitive price.
The smartphone features configurations with 6 GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) and 128 GB of storage for € 499, and 8 GB of RAM (LPDDR5) with 256 GB of storage for € 599. In the presentation, POCO compared it to the Galaxy S20 + for € 1,099 and the OnePlus 8 Pro for € 909. The devices are already on sale globally in stores like Gearbest and AliExpress.
The comparison is made because the POCO F2 Pro brings high end features. It comes with the Snapdragon 865, Qualcomm’s current most powerful chip.
The memories used by him are UFS (Universal Flash Storage) 3.1, which guarantee a greater speed of reading and writing files. It is worth noting that the smartphone does not have a microSD card slot.
According to the brand, the liquid cooling system ‘LiquidCool 2.0’ should always keep the cell phone at a stable temperature.
Premium features and design
Despite being a novelty in the market, the POCO F2 Pro uses the same industrial format as the Redmi K30 Pro. Thus, it brings a 6.67 “Full HD + AMOLED screen that covers almost the entire front. The 20 MP selfie camera, for example, it is in a pop-up mechanism. It is available in Phantom White, Cyber Gray, Neon Blue, Electric Purple.
The smartphone has, at the rear, four cameras: 64 MP main, 13 MP (123 degrees) wide angle, 5 MP macro and a 2 MP depth sensor. He can still shoot in 8K with the rear – in an Artificial Intelligence mode – and in slow motion with 120fps in the front.
The POCO F2 Pro also comes with a 4,700 mAh battery that, according to POCO, lasts 6 hours recording videos or 13 hours playing games. It even features Wi-Fi 6 and 5G connectivity. In terms of software, the phone runs Android 10 with the brand’s own interface.
