The possible design and some basic features of the M1X-based Mac mini, which Apple is preparing to release this year, have emerged. John Prosser shared important details about the M1X-based Mac mini.
Senser Jon Prosser, who we know for his high accuracy leaks about Apple’s new products, shared some details about the design and basic features of the M1X-based Mac mini, which will be released in the coming months.
According to Prosser, Apple will present a next generation industrial design in its small desktop computer. The M1X processor Mac mini will replace the Intel-based Mac mini in space gray, while the M1 Mac mini will remain on sale and will be offered as the most affordable Mac.
It is said that the 2021 Mac mini will come in a thinner case. Its upper panel will be covered with a glossy surface similar to plexiglass. The Cupertino company may be planning to introduce new two-tone color options for its small desktop PC.
The number of ports is increasing again
As you know, the Mac mini with M1 processor had reduced the number of available ports due to the restrictions of the first generation Apple Silicon design.
The M1X chip will once again allow Apple to offer a full range of ports, including four USB4 / Thunderbolt 3, two USB-A, Ethernet and HDMI ports.
It looks like the company will use the same magnetic power connector in the 2021 Mac mini as the iMac with M1 processor. In Bloomberg’s report published last week, it was stated that the new Mac mini will be powered by a 10-core M1X processor.
