The coronavirus pandemic has brought social isolation and a forced pause in the entertainment industry, especially the film industry. The big studios, in general, have already set new dates for their premieres.

The premiere of Thor 4: Love and Thunder and Doctor Strange 2 takes on new dates. The new Thor film, which will feature the return of the character Jane Foster, hits the big screen on February 11, 2022, despite the previous forecast being February 28, 2022. Now Doctor Estranho 2, initially scheduled for November 5, 2021, will be released on March 25, 2022.

Doctor Strange 2 was taken over by Sam Raimi, after Scott Derrrickon’s departure. Raimi worked on Spider-Man films with Tobey Maguire. Thor 4 wins the reinforcement of the return of director and screenwriter Taika Waititi. Actor Chris Hemsworth rated the film as the one with the best script he has read in years.

Sony Pictures was also forced to postpone release dates for the sequel to upcoming Spider-Man movies. According to the Japanese company, the sequel to Spider-Man Away from Home will arrive in late 2021, while the new Spider-Man in Aranhaverso 2 arrives in the second half of 2022.

According to Variety, the date for the new Spider Man animated film will be released on October 7, 2022, changing the initial forecast of April 8 of the same year. The sequel to Longe de Casa will be shown starting on November 5, 2021, almost four months after the previously planned date, July 16.

The change in the Spider-Man sequel also messed with the original calendar for the adaptation of the famous franchise of the game Uncharted, which will be released on July 16, 2021, instead of October 8 of the same date, although it is impossible to pin down whether this will be the final date, or if there will be another postponement.
