Microsoft has reported that a number of its Surface 3s have display issues, and fixing them will be free.
Introduced in October last year, the Microsoft Surface 3 came onto the market a few months ago, and although the design was the same as previous models, the news came from increased power, processor integration, and two different sizes, with a 13 or 15 inches. Precisely that is the reason for this news, since something happens with the display of the Surface 3 that has led its creators to have to give an official announcement.
Problems with Surface Laptop 3 screens
Microsoft has recognized an issue that has affected some units of its Surface Laptop 3 laptop, causing screen breaks for no apparent reason, and has announced that it will repair these devices for free. As the company has explained on its website, “we have investigated the claims of cracks on the screen of the Surface Laptop 3 and we have determined that, in a very small percentage of cases, a hard foreign particle can cause a thin fracture in the glass that can appear to appear unexpectedly or without visible cause. ”
Therefore, we are talking about a very serious hardware failure, so Microsoft will bear the costs of these repairs: “If you think that your Surface Laptop 3 is experiencing this problem, we recommend that you contact our Microsoft Support to start a free repair during the device’s warranty period. ”
In case it has already happened to you and you have had to pay, Microsoft will still refund you: “If you have previously paid Microsoft for a Surface Laptop 3 repair and think you have experienced this problem, please contact Support Microsoft for information on the refund. ”
Hopefully this problem is not repeated, as the first information about Microsoft Surface 4 is just beginning to emerge.
