A Sony executive says it has taken “a great effort” to reduce the noise of the PlayStation 5, one of the negative points of its predecessor.
Simon Rutter, head of business in Europe of the Sony executive, said in an interview with The Guardian that it has “taken a great effort” to ensure that PS5 is silent. The differences between both generations of PlayStation will be noticeable, in addition to the muscle under their chassis.
“The lifecycles of consoles are lonely in technological terms, so when the update happens we hear that there is an expectation that there will be a noticeable change in the way people will play,” says Rutter. “When we put it together with the feedback we got from the developers, there was a kind of happy communion of thought.
