Xiaomi and Qualcomm join forces
Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound is not a specific type of technology but a combination of many existing technologies. The chipset giant notes that it can achieve ultra-low latency while maintaining high sound quality and stable connectivity. It will also provide long-lasting battery life.
Let’s talk about sound quality first. Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound can reach 96KHz sampling rate, which can show richer sound details while playing music. Qualcomm is also working with Amazon to launch a Snapdragon Sound select playlist by creating a complete set of high-quality experiences for users from sources to ears.
Second, Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound for voice searches and games also comes with many optimizations. Supported headphones can thus reach 32KHz high definition sound. This makes call restore more realistic. In addition, the mobile gaming experience will be doubled with low latency of up to 89ms.
Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound currently supports hardware like Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 and FastConnect 6900 and QCC515x.
