Xiaomi has expanded its affordable smartphone range with a new model. Redmi 9 Power, introduced today, comes with a 6.53-inch screen, quad camera system and high capacity battery.
Xiaomi introduced a new budget-friendly smartphone in India today. The device, called Redmi 9 Power, is positioned as the global version of the Redmi Note 9 4G, which was recently launched in China. It should also be noted that it is similar to the POCO M3 in terms of technical features.
Equipped with a plastic body, Redmi 9 Power has four color options. The smartphone has a 6.53 inch IPS display with FHD + resolution protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device, which offers a notched design, has an 8-megapixel front camera.
The device comes with a quad main camera system consisting of 48 megapixel main sensor, 8 megapixel ultra wide angle lens, 2 megapixel macro camera and 2 megapixel depth sensor. It gets the energy it needs from a 6,000 mAh battery that supports 18 watts of charging.
The price tag is also announced
Redmi 9 Power is powered by Snapdragon 662 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. The device is available in 64 and 128 GB storage options. The fingerprint scanner of the smartphone, which offers a high-quality sound experience thanks to its stereo speakers, is on the side.
The new model comes out of the box with the Android 10-based MIUI 12 interface, but will be updated to Android 11 early next year. Redmi 9 Power will be available in India on December 22 with a starting price of $ 149. It is not clear when it will appear in the international market.
