The Redmi K30 family will grow and should soon win a new variant known as the K30i. According to several rumors, this device will be the “cheapest” version of the generation, and its main highlight is the support for the new 5G network.
Recently, we saw that the new model will have a 48 MP main camera inside a module that resembles the first Redmi K30. In addition, instead of following its Pro brothers, the new Redmi K30i should drop the pop-up mechanism and accommodate the front camera in a hole.
Now, according to information obtained from China Mobile, the K30i will be made official with a screen that has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Apparently, Xiaomi wants to popularize the technology by releasing it on a cheaper device.
As much as it is a “cost-effective” variant, the Redmi K30i will still not be as cheap as expected and should cost 1,799 yuan, something around R $ 1,420 in direct conversion and without Brazilian taxes. Sources working with Xiaomi say that this model will be powered by the Snapdragon 765G processor.
In addition, the Redmi K30i can come out of the box with a 4,500 mAh battery and support for fast charging up to 30W. This set will be powered by Android 10, which should run under MIUI 11 and later MIUI 12.
For now, despite the constant leaks, the Chinese manufacturer has not yet confirmed when the Redmi K30i will be launched. Even so, the device can be one of the highlights of the MIUI event, which should happen tomorrow (27).
