Ripple-linked cryptocurrency XRP rose up to $ 0.609 in the Bitstamp currency during the day. Although it has lost some of its gains since then, it is currently trading at $ 0.588.
XRP managed to reach its highest level since February 22 with the increase in question.
The token suffered a massive crash in late December, after Ripple was accused of the sale of securities by the US Securities and Exchange Commission. XRP holders, who were recently allowed to request to respond to the case, claim the complaint caused “billions of damages.”
As we reported, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse expressed confidence that the blockchain company will “win” in the lawsuit against the SEC, in a recent interview with CNN’s Julia Chatterley. XRP hit a five-week high after Ripple pointed to its confidence in victory, thinking it would win against the SEC.
