Nvidia’s highly anticipated mid-segment RTX Ampere card was announced. The price of the card, which will bring fluent ray tracing to the budget-friendly segment, has also been announced.
RTX Ampere’s card that will offer a smooth RTX experience without straining the budget was officially announced at Nvidia’s online CES 2021 event.
Rising above the GA106-300 GPU, the RTX 3060 hosts 3584 CUDA cores and 28 CUDA units. The model, in which the GPU can increase from 1.32 GHz to 1.78 GHz, is supported by more memory capacity than its brother RTX 3060 Ti and even the RTX 3080.
In the model where the 12 GB GDDR6 VRAM unit operates at 16 Gbps speed, GPU-memory communication will be provided over a 192-bit bus.
With a 170 watt TGP, the card has 2 times the drawing performance of the GTX 1060 and 10 times the ray tracing power, according to Nvidia’s presentation. Finally, the $ 329 price tag for the Ampere model was marked at the end of next month.
