Dead Space News: A RUMOR THAT SEEMS MORE REALITY EVERY TIME
Again we have new news that points to the return of the famous space horror saga, Dead Space. Eurogamer and Gematsu media appear to have confirmed that Motive Studios, a studio under EA, is working on a new game in the series.
For his part, journalist Jeff Grubb shared an article on GamesBeat where he assures that the new Dead Space title will be “completely a remake.” In addition, he assures that Motive is inspired by the recent and successful remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3, released in recent years by Capcom.
DEAD SPACE REMAKE INSPIRED BY RE
According to Grubb, EA probably decided to revive Dead Space after the Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order was well received. Let’s remember that EA distanced itself from single-player games for a time, and one of its executives even said that the model “was dead.”
In addition to this welcome from SW, EA saw the success achieved by Capcom with its recent Resident Evil remakes. For this reason, he entrusted Motive Studios with a remake of Dead Space modeled after Capcom’s title. According to Grubb, this means that the remake will use the original game as a base, but with modern graphics and new mechanics that were implemented in later installments.
If true, this news would be great for all Dead Space fans. The original game is a survival horror gem that has aged very well. If we add that it will be inspired by one of the best remakes of video games, we can expect a great return of the horror space saga.
Will this remake of Dead Space be the mysterious game that will supposedly be announced during the next EA Play on July 22? Let’s hope so. Hopefully this is one of the first steps for EA to be on the good side of gamers’ opinion again. At least we already saw that your opinion about a player’s titles is changing.
