The Samsung One UI Watch interface, developed in partnership with Google, was introduced. Samsung’s new interface will first appear on the Galaxy Watch 4.
Samsung has revealed more details about the software that will power its new smartwatches. We already knew that Google and Samsung are working to merge Wear OS and Tizen and that the new unified platform will come with the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4. The new interface experience called Samsung One UI Watch brings many important developments to Samsung watches.
What Does Samsung One UI Watch Offer?
The company aims for a stronger integration between Galaxy phones and smartwatches with the One UI Watch interface. In the new interface, which aims to enrich the user experience, when users install an application on their phones, your smart watch will automatically install the clock application version.
Samsung also states that the operations performed on the phone are instantly synchronized with the watch. For example, if you have multiple time zones on your phone, they will also appear on your watch. Also, if you have a blocked contact list, they are synced to your watch. The settings menu of the smart watch is also designed to resemble the menu of the phone.
New smartwatches won’t fall short of watch faces, Samsung also showed off a new watch face design tool it plans to roll out to developers this year.
On the other hand, third-party apps like Adidas Running, GOLFBUDDY Smart Caddie, Strava and Swim.com, Calm or Sleep Cycle, Spotify and YouTube Music, Google Maps can be downloaded directly from Google Play on Galaxy Watch.
