Samsung’s new A-series phone comes with flagship-level hardware.Samsung seems to be preparing to launch the Galaxy A82.
The key features of the phone have been revealed thanks to a listing on the Google Play Console. The Galaxy A82 can be seen as the successor to the Galaxy A80, which was launched in 2019.
The leaked information reveals that the Galaxy A82 will be powered by the SM8150p chipset, also known as the Snapdragon 855 Plus. However, it is worth noting that there are sources that also say that this processor may be Snapdragon 860. When the technical specifications of the smartphone are examined, we can think that this processor is a more suitable option.

Other features revealed by the list include Android 11 support, 6 GB of RAM, and a 2,400 x 1,080 display. Unfortunately, there is no other information in the list other than these features. However, recently leaked information claimed the device will be released with the 64MP Sony IMX686 primary camera setup. In addition, the smartphone is expected to be launched in Samsung’s domestic market under the name Galaxy A Quantum 2. We also know that the phone will come with a QNRG chip for enhanced security. The first Galaxy A Quantum series was based on the Galaxy A71 5G smartphone series that was launched outside of South Korea without the QNRG chip. Samsung may adopt a similar strategy with the Galaxy A82. Right now, the only way to see this is to wait for the official announcement.
Finally, it should be noted that there is no announcement about the global launch of the Galaxy A82 yet.
