Galaxy S20 FE 4G produced with Exynos 990 can now be produced with Snapdragon 865+.Samsung Galaxy S20 FE will now be produced with Snapdragon 865+ SoC, according to new information leaked.
The affordable and powerful smartphone was launched in September 2020 in 4G and 5G variants. While the 4G variant of the phone used Exynos 990, the 5G variant featured Snapdragon 865. Although the variant with the Exynos 990 processor set performs well on its own, it has received a lot of criticism for having a less effective performance than the other variant with Snapdragon 865. Based on these criticisms, the company seems to retire the Exynos variant. According to the Ice Universe claims, the Exynos 990 will be replaced by the Snapdragon 865+ model.
We said that the Galaxy S20 FE model, which already has 5G connectivity, uses Snapdragon 865. According to Tipster’s claims, there may also be a change in this variant. Thus, all variants of the Galaxy S20 FE can be relaunched powered by Snapdragon 865+ SoC. Samsung has not made a statement on the subject yet. However, the roadmap Samsung is planning to follow this year has been leaked in recent months, and the leaked calendar included an FE Unpacked event. Now with these claims, it is thought that the event may be related to the powered Galaxy S20 FE variant.
Samsung aims to overcome the criticism of the Exynos 990 due to its poor performance, overheating and battery life problems compared to its competitors by performing a hardware update. Because, Galaxy S20 series smartphones equipped with Exynos 990 had a lower performance and a much shorter battery life compared to the Snapdragon 865 equipped variants. Many of the company’s customers had also started asking Samsung to release the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S20 FE.
Finally, it should be noted that there is no information yet on whether the company will sell the Galaxy S20 FE series, which is updated with the Snapdragon 865+ processor set, in all markets.
