Smartphones are the biggest part of our lives. The health of our mobile phones, which we cannot imagine not to take with us for a day, is one of our top priorities. While MIL-STD810 military standards are introduced in some phones, water and dust proof certificates have recently gained importance, especially in flagship phones. At this point, the Samsung Galaxy S21, which offers up to 1.5 meters of water resistance for 30 minutes, was subjected to a very interesting test, especially on the waterproof and dustproof side, thanks to IP68 certification.

In this test, the phone was thrown into an aquarium and kept in the aquarium for 11 days. At this point, the stopwatch counter of the phone was also started. At this point, it was stated in the video that the stopwatch stopped at 99 hours 59 minutes 59 seconds, so it had to be taken out of the water 3 times. You can see in the video below how the phone, which comes with Gorilla Glass Victus glass protection, plastic back cover and aluminum frame, has performed at this point.

These kinds of videos are good but if you ask us, they are unnecessary. Because conducting such tests without any pressure allows only a viewer-oriented video to be produced. However, instead of doing such a thing, they could throw the phone into a 1.5 meter deep lake. Thus, we could see how the phone performs at least under pressure.
