South Korean technology giant Samsung has released a surprise software update for the Gear Sport, which it launched in 2017, and the Gear S3 smartwatch, which debuted in 2016.

The new firmware has version numbers R600XXU2FUD1 and R760XXU2FUD1 respectively. Gear S3 has been updated with improved Wi-Fi performance and various bug fixes. The Tizen operating system version remains unchanged as 4.0.0.7.

Gradually distributed

It is unclear what changes the update released for Gear Sport includes. Probably Samsung has made similar improvements to this smartwatch.

According to the information received, the new update is now available to Chinese users. As it is distributed gradually, it is expected to reach devices in other regions in the coming days.
