According to the leaked new information, Samsung, one of the technology giants, will equip some of the smartphones it will produce with OLED screens of BOE.
According to sources close to the industry, Samsung will start using OLED displays produced by Chinese BOE in its smartphones for the first time this year.
These OLED panels are said to have a flexible substrate, while BOE-made displays are said to be used in a number of mid-range Samsung smartphone models that will be part of the Galaxy M family. Cooperation will be beneficial for both parties.
Because the Chinese BOE, the South Korean camel, will be able to compensate some losses related to the drop in orders from Huawei by supplying screens. As you know, Huawei’s smartphone sales have declined significantly in connection with the harsh US sanctions.
To be used in Galaxy M series
Samsung will be able to transfer some of its devices to BOE screens, reducing the cost and final price of the devices. As a result, such devices will become more attractive to end consumers as well.
It was initially noted that the scope of BOE OLED panels will be limited to a few Galaxy M models. The announcement of these smartphones is expected in the second half of this year. Other details have not been disclosed yet.
