Samsung sided with Epic in the case between Apple and Epic. The South Korean firm is preparing to hit Apple with Fortnite.
Since the removal of Fortnite from the App Store in August, Epic Games has been boycotting the firm’s products through special tournaments and campaigns mocking Apple. This week, Epic started sending out a press kit containing a Free Fortnite print jacket and Galaxy Tab S7 to some influencers. Collaborating with Samsung, Epic will now hit Apple via Fortnite.
This gift comes in a white box mimicking Apple’s product boxes. Inside the box is a special jacket with the slogan “Free Fortnite”. This jacket also features a logo reminiscent of the old iconic Apple logo with colored stripes. In addition to the jacket sent to the influencers, Galaxy Tab S7, one of the iPad’s competitors, also comes out of the box.
Also in the box is a letter written by the Epic Games team. In this letter, he says that although users can no longer find Fortnite on the App Store or Google Play, the game remains available on the Samsung Galaxy Store.
Fornite has been named Game of the Year in the 2020 Samsung Galaxy Store. To celebrate, we’ve partnered with Samsung to send you a special #FreeFortnite gear box. While Fortnite is not currently available on the App Store or Google Play, you can get the latest Fortnite updates directly from the Epic Games app in the Galaxy Store. Spread the word #FreeFortnite.

Months ago, Epic Games distributed Android devices and Windows PCs as a reward to Fortnite players in another attempt to boycott Apple. Both companies are currently fighting in court, and the first trial is expected in July 2021.
While the presiding judge does not appear to be convinced of Epic’s claims, both Apple CEO Tim Cook and Craig Federighi, the company’s vice president of software engineering, will have to testify about the App Store rules.
