South Korean technology giant Samsung responds to the Apple M1. It turned out that the company developed the PC version of the Exynos processor with AMD.
Samsung is developing the PC version of the Exynos processor for mobile devices. With this move, the company will bring a strong competitor to the Apple M1 and similar solutions.
The new processor is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of this year. It will be based on the Exynos 2100 platform used in the flagship Galaxy S21 series and will be produced with a 5 nm fabrication process.
Qualcomm also took action
The South Korean giant will get help from AMD on the GPU side. There is a long-term cooperation between the two companies. There is no other detail about the new product yet.
It was recently revealed that Qualcomm is developing a new high-performance processor for Windows-based devices. This processor is also expected to compete with the Apple M1 and be released later this year.
