USE THE XBOX AND PLAYSTATION BROWSERS UP TO GOOGLE CLASSROOM
Once again in ‘stories that show that video games are not as bad as our families think’, in this case consoles are helping students who do not have their own PC in this quarantine.
In the UK, as in most of the world, activities in 2021 continue to take place in lockdown, with many young people taking classes online. Although many of them have their own PCs, others must share these devices with the rest of the members of the household, whether they are also at school activities or in the Home Office.
So, the organization of work and study schedules in the same family must probably be chaotic at times. And what does this have to do with video games? Well, in the UK, a student formulated a plan for her school that involved using video game consoles to take classes in quarantine.
XBOX ONE AND PS4 SAVING THE SCHOOL YEAR
The Birchgrove Comprehensive School posted instructions on Twitter on how a video game console can serve some student needs.
Coming from one of his students, William, it was pointed out how PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users can access the HWB platform, designed by the government for academic purposes.
Although William’s instructions are from October 2020, the steps are exactly the same since neither of the two consoles have made any changes to their browsers (and it probably won’t happen, especially with the next gen already circulating on the market).
What do you think of this ingenious solution for those who have to share PC at home? Let us know in the comments.
