Chinese smartphone manufacturer Realme is preparing to launch a new smartphone. Realme GT 5G will be introduced with a launch event in China.
Realme is preparing to launch its flagship smartphone GT 5G in China on March 4th. Realme Marketing Director Xu Qi Chase shared a poster highlighting the launch details on Weibo. There were claims that the company would release the Realme Race before, but it seems that the device has been renamed Realme GT 5G.
Will be powered by Snapdragon 888
The Realme GT 5G is thought to be an affordable flagship smartphone. The company has confirmed that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset, but no other official details are known. Realme GT 5G is expected to be available in the global market.

Some details about the Realme Race phone have been leaked before. According to these leaks, the Realme GT 5G is expected to have a 6.8-inch screen with a resolution of 1.440×3.200 pixels with a 20: 9 aspect ratio. One of the two leaks that have emerged says that the screen will offer a 120Hz refresh rate, while the other one states that it will come with a 160Hz refresh rate.
DigitalChatStation, known for its reliable leaks, said the back of the phone will come in leather and glass versions. Therefore, the claims that Realme’s first Snapdragon 888-powered smartphone could be a Pro model have been strengthened. In addition, the leaked images showing the two different designs available also support this situation.
The phone is expected to have up to 12GB of RAM and offer 128GB, 256GB and 512GB internal storage options. According to the leaks, the device will have a triple camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary lens, 13MP ultra-wide lens and 13MP telephoto sensor.
The device, which is expected to run Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0, is thought to offer 125W UltraDart charging support.
Realme GT 5G has yet to be introduced within two weeks. As the launch date approaches, more official information will emerge about the phone.
