Chen Jin, general manager of Lenovo’s mobile phone division in China, announced on his Weibo account that Lenovo will launch its flagship mobile phone by the end of this year. Sources confirm that Lenovo will be the first company to launch a smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 895 processor.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 895 Promises a Serious Performance Boost
Information about Quacomm’s next flagship processor is limited for now. Its process is expected to debut as Snapdragon 895 or 898. At the performance point, the processor, which will feature Quacomm’s customized Kryo 780 cores, will be accompanied by Adreno 730 GPU.
The processor, which is realized in the 4nm production process, will make a serious performance leap after the Snapdragon 888. On the Qualcomm front, such a performance increase has been experienced in the transition from Snapdragon 835 to Snapdragon 845.
When we look at the past few years, we saw that the first brand to use Qualcomm’s top processor was Xiaomi. Even considering the good relations between the two, Xiaomi Mi 12 was not mentioned for the first phone with Snadragon 895. But the latest reports mention that the partnership between Lenovo and Qualcomm has improved significantly.
