Huawei P20 Lite News: Huawei continues to attract attention by offering updates to its old phones. Today, the update for the Huawei P20 Lite has been released.

The countdown has begun for Huawei HarmonyOS on June 2, which the technology world is eagerly waiting for. Starting to leave Android slowly, Huawei does not skip its old phones in this process. A surprise update was released today for the Huawei P20 Lite model, which received the latest EMUI 9.1 interface.

Huawei’s affordable phone was launched in 2018 with EMUI 8.0. In this process, the phone received two major software updates, EMUI 9.0 and EMUI 9.1. However, this smartphone is not eligible to receive newer EMUI versions. That’s why it was said that the phone will not be updated again.

However, this old smartphone has been receiving regular security patches for a long time to get the most out of its hardware and software. Despite its age at the moment, the P20 Lite performs well and offers users an enjoyable experience. With this new update, Android security improvements for April are added to the system. This update on EMUI 9.1.0 is approximately 221 MB in size.

The update fixes 17 high and 69 moderate CVE vulnerabilities for enhanced system security. If you have the P20 Lite, we strongly recommend that you install this update for your safety.

It is clear that Huawei will no longer offer major Android updates for its older models. Huawei, which lags behind Apple on its way to becoming Apple, wants to return to its old days with HarmonyOS. Let’s see if HarmonyOS, the Android fork that will be introduced at the event on June 2, will make the Chinese company stronger again?
