Tezos (XTZ) based NFT market HicEtNunc, pioneering the concept of environmentally friendly platforms for digital collections, shared the details of its first Hackathon.

NFT platform HicEtNunc performed its first hackathon

On May 22-23, 2021, Tezos-based NFT marketplace HicEtNunc performed its first hackathon. Dozens of modern artists participated in the event, which was designed to showcase the most advanced techniques on the digital collection scene.

On the second day of the event, Arthur Breitman, a member of the Tezos Foundation and the founding partner of the Tezos crypto currency, was present.

The idea for the hackathon was announced by German artist and Google Arts and Culture resident Mario Klingemann. In a tweet on May 13, 2021, he stated that the hackathon will solve some urgent problems of the HicEtNunc ecosystem.

NFT enthusiasts supported his idea and he launched the Trello board and custom spreadsheet to coordinate the organization of the upcoming event. As a result, the entire event preparation process was organized in a decentralized, community-oriented way.

Hic Et Nunc management shifts to DAO model

Despite only being released in mid-March, HicEtNunc has already become the largest NFT market by daily active users. Its progress is 100% organic, therefore it reflects the increased interest in NFTs in Tezos.

The first ever carbon-neutral NFT platform rethinks the way this segment is handled by enthusiasts. In particular, publishing NFTs has never been more profitable, says Jéssica Luz, a graphic novelist from Curitiba, Brazil:

I never thought that working with NFTs would be a source of income or have such a big impact on my community’s life. But I see this relief on my real friends’ faces they pay off their debts, improve their working order and help family members.

In addition, the governance model of HicEtNunc has been reshaped. It is now operated by hDAO, a new decentralized autonomous organization of its supporters.
