HMD Global has extended the availability of Android 10 to users of their smartphones. The Finnish manufacturer has released the update to the Nokia 7.2, Nokia 4.2 and Nokia 3.2 models in Italy.
There is still no information about the size of the update or the build number after installing the new firmware. The three devices had already received the latest version of Google’s operating system in other regions (1, 2, 3).
The highlights of the arrival of Android 10 consist of a redesigned dark mode, plus gesture navigation, smart responses, privacy controls, focus mode and Family Link.
In addition to the three laptops on the list and the new products that have already been launched with the new native OS, another six have already been awarded with the change of platform version: Nokia 6.1, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 9 Pureview, Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 2.2.
So far, Nokia-branded phones are considered to be the fastest to receive recent software updates. According to a Counterpoint survey, HMD Global has already covered 94% of its portfolio with the new updates.
One of the justifications for this agility is the fact that the Finnish manufacturer’s devices use a “pure” version of Android, without additional resources, which would make it easier to release new versions whenever Google makes it available.
