The new 12.9-inch iPad Pro model that Apple has been working on for a long time may be 0.5mm thicker due to the mini LED display.

As the countdown continues for Apple’s upcoming Spring Loaded event, important information has emerged about the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro model. According to the news shared by MacRumors, the new iPad Pro model may be a little thicker than the previous model of the series due to the mini LED screen.

In line with the information leaked by sources close to Apple, we see that the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro model will be 280.65 mm long, 215 mm wide and 6.44 mm thick. When we examine this leaked information, we can say that the new generation iPad Pro model is slightly thicker than the model currently on sale. As you know, the model that was released last year was 5.9 mm thick. This means that there will be a 0.5 mm thickness difference between the model in question and the new generation model. Apart from that, when we compare the leaked dimensions, we also estimate that there will not be a serious design difference between the two models.

It is said that the 12.9-inch iPad Pro model, which is expected to be introduced at the Spring Loaded event to be held tonight, will have a Thunderbolt port and M1 processor in addition to the mini LED.

For now, Apple has not made any official statements on the leaked information. However, sources close to the company anticipate that at the event to be held today, Tuesday, April 20, the affordable iPad, iPad Mini and the long-awaited AirTag device will be introduced.
