The Witcher News: THE OFFICIAL NETFLIX ACCOUNT ANNOUNCED THAT IT WILL ARRIVE NEXT DECEMBER 17
This information was revealed at WitcherCon through the Netflix account Geeked. So, we didn’t have to wait too long to continue The Witcher’s story with Ciri and Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill.
WitcherCon was a joint event between CD Projekt Red, the video game studio in charge of bringing the book adaptations to consoles, and Netflix, the company in charge of the live-action series. In which they announced that this second season of The Witcher will arrive just two years after the first.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM THE SECOND SEASON OF THE WITCHER?
In the recent trailer for The Witcher, we got to see more about Ciri’s training at the hands of someone who appears to be Geralt of Rivia. It seems that she could be the main protagonist of this new season.
Likewise, there were many scenes that resembled the swamps and sewers of the CD Projekt Red video game series. So, this adaptation is probably closer to video games than to the book series.
For now, the only certainty is that the cast we saw in the first season of The Witcher will continue. Also, given the hiring of Michelle Yeoh and Sophia Brown for the Blood Origin prequel, we may see their participation in this new installment.
The second season of The Witcher will arrive on December 17 on Netflix.
