More than 2,500 Bitcoins, stolen from Bitfinex in 2016, took action when the price approached $ 11,000.
Whale Alert, who has watched big movements in blockchains, reported that cryptocurrencies stolen during the hacking event of cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex in 2016.
While Bitcoin debuted with a hard move above $ 10,000, today over $ 27 million of Bitcoin has been moved from wallets associated with this attack in nine different transactions. The mobility in these wallets started around 19:30 CET. The first transfer was 174.44 BTC, worth 1 million 800 thousand dollars. Then, a total of 2 thousand 541 BTCs were sent to unknown wallets with transfers that came one after another.
The last move in the wallets with BTCs stolen from the Bitfinex attack was seen on June 24, and $ 5 million of Bitcoin was transported in two separate transactions.
120 thousand BTC was stolen
Bitfinex was hacked in August 2016. As a result of the attack, 120,000 BTC were stolen, and at present prices, their value makes $ 72 million.
Bitfinex, where approximately 400 million dollars of trading has been carried out in the last 24 hours, is still among the largest crypto exchanges in the world today.
