A new study of Japan-based cryptocurrency exchange Bitmax shows that cryptocurrencies Bitcoin and XRP are head-to-head in the ranking of popularity.
The stock market has published the results of its survey on Twitter. BTC is seen as the most favorite crypto asset among 26% of the participants; It shows that XRP is behind the leading cryptocurrency with a 25% slice and only 1%.

Japanese messaging giant Line launched Bitmax in September of last year, after receiving approval from the country’s Financial Services Agency.
The results of the survey overlap with data from the Japanese cryptocurrency exchange JVCEA. Bitcoin reports that XRP and Ethereum ranked first, second and third in 2019 as the most popular cryptocurrencies.
These three cryptocurrencies are in different orbits in 2020. This year, Bitcoin rose from $ 7,203 to $ 9,391, meaning it saw a 30% increase. Ethereum, on the other hand, increased by 75% from $ 130.67 to $ 229.30. Meanwhile, the XRP has remained stable and is now hovering around $ 0.19, where it started exactly at the beginning of the year.
When the most popular cryptocurrencies are analyzed by global trade volume, a very different situation emerges.
According to CoinMarketCap, the most popular currencies by volume are Tether, followed by Tether, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, EOS and XRP.
