According to the latest weekly data compiled by The Block Research, the number of weekly tweets containing the word ‘Bitcoin’ reached its highest point this month.
In the week ending February 14, there were about 675,000 tweets that included the term ‘Bitcoin’. This figure represents a 17.13% increase from the previous volume peak with a weekly total of about 576,000 tweets in mid-January.
Relevant metrics showed significant increases in interest, including the number of new followers for crypto exchange accounts on Twitter. During the week ending February 15, approximately 150,000 new followers were seen in this category. Still, the all-time peak for this type of activity was in early January as the graph below shows.
New followers for crypto data and research services have been increasing since December, but the highest point of activity continues to be mid-January as shown below.
While these Twitter metrics about Bitcoin, discourse and information about the cryptocurrency are increasing, it can be seen that the attention is not turned to people participating in crypto exchanges.
