Uramichi Oniisan News: THIS ANIME WILL BE TRANSMITTED ON SIMULCAST BY FUNIMATION FROM NEXT JULY 5
Titled Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan, this anime adapts Gaku Kaze’s manga about the difficulties of being an adult in a children’s show. This adaptation was developed by Studio Blanc and has voice acting you will recognize from Shingeki no Kyojin, Death Note, Naruto, and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.
Uramichi Oniisan will be part of the summer programming of Funimation and also of Tv Tokyo. In his trailer we are introduced to his protagonists and their motivations (or lack thereof). One of his lessons in his trailer sums it up like this: ‘People will tell you to be cheerful, but behind that there are terrible things like’ denial ‘or’ procrastination ‘.
WHAT IS LIFE LESSONS WITH URAMICHI ONIISAN ABOUT?
This anime is a slice of life comedy that follows Uramichi Omota, a 31-year-old adult who works on a children’s show with Daga Iketeru and Tadano Utano.
However, the life lessons they will give will not be what you expect. Some of them will touch on sensitive topics like loneliness, frustration and more.
Thus, some of the lessons that Uramichi Oniisan will give will be about the emptiness he feels growing up and how there are days when you don’t have the energy to do anything.
Or sometimes how staying ‘positive’ can be a form of denial.
But he’s not the only one. In addition to Uramichi Oniisan, there will be characters like Tadano Utano who show the difficulties of relating to other adult people.
Even playing cliches about marriage, couples or tropes seen in other manga and anime sagas, will you see this interesting comedy?
