Bitcoin miner News: US Senator Cynthia Lummis invited miners who immigrated to the US after the Bitcoin mining bans in China for a meeting. Ongoing pressure in China is shifting many Bitcoin miner bases to the US. For this reason, the US Senator tweeted; “If you are in the #Bitcoin mining space, please contact us. “We WANT you in Wyoming,” he said.
The Senator posted this tweet on Friday, July 2. Cynthia Lummis recently expressed her support for Bitcoin and the crypto market in general. Last week, Lummis said that people should buy Bitcoin and keep it as part of their retirement plan.
Lummis made statements that allow BTC investors to diversify their holdings amid concerns about the falling value of the US dollar. The Wyoming Senator said in a series of tweets:
“I believe the USD should and will continue to be the world’s reserve currency. Spending like drunken sailors does not serve the American people or the value of the USD.”
She said she believes financial development offers hardworking Americans an equitable opportunity to store the value that their hard work produces. Capital protection shouldn’t be reserved for wealthy Wall Street connections. She argued that the government should not underestimate your ‘store of value’.
US Senator Lummis: “Pension Funds Should Be Exposed to BTC”
The Wyoming Senator announced that he has already purchased $100,000 worth of BTC and will continue to buy more and save. Lummis also expressed his views on the need to include BTC in pension funds. In an interview with CNBC’s Ylan Mui, the Wyoming Senator said:
“I would like to see a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin become part of a diversified asset allocation, offering opportunities in pension funds that enable people to save for the future. So, whether you are an employee with a pension fund, I would love to see these pension funds invested in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies with good stores of value.”
In addition, Lummis also argued that crypto should be used in daily life.
