The amount of Tether (USDT) issued in Tron is gradually catching the amount published in Ethereum.

    Published by Tron, USDT is gaining popularity due to its low fees and usage in the Tron ecosystem.
  • The value of TRX has benefited from increased activity in the network.

The amount of Tether (USDT) published in Tron (TRX) is about to overshadow the amount published in Ethereum (ETH). This pending milestone was highlighted by Tron’s founder and CEO Justin Sun and shared via the following tweet.

1.4 Billion $ Difference Between TRC20-USDT and ERC20-USDT

A quick look at the Tether balance sheet reveals the following distribution of USDT issued on various blockchains.

  • Omni – $ 1,335 Billion
  • Ethereum – $ 23,416 Billion
  • Tron – $ 21,994 Billion
  • EOS – $ 70,251 Million
  • Liquid – $ 16,561 Million
  • Algorand – $ 14 Million
  • SLP – $ 6 Million
  • Solana – $ 190 Million

From the breakdown above, it can be concluded that USDT issued in Tron is $ 1,422 Billion away from the equivalent of that issued on the Ethereum blockchain. There are days and weeks of chances to be successful as the Tron network continues to attract new users and increase activity due to its lower fees and higher speed compared to Ethereum.

TRX Continues To Improve As Activity On The Tron Network Increases

As seen in the chart below courtesy of TronScan.org, activity in the Tron network has been consistently high, with the blockchain processing approximately 2 million transactions per day since the beginning of 2021.

During the same period, and according to Etherscan.com, Ethereum handled approximately 1.25 million transactions per day since the beginning of the year. Therefore, it can be concluded that, in general, the amount of daily activity in Tron is twice that in Ethereum.

Tron’s impressive network activity also had a positive impact on the price of TRX, which was traded at levels seen in early 2018 after the latest ICO. At the time of writing, Tron (TRX) is trading at $ 0.1428 and is almost halfway to an all-time high of $ 0.30 on January 5, 2018.
