Huawei P50 News: The introduction of the Huawei P50 series is only a few days away. Almost all the details are clear. Here’s everything about the P50 series…
Almost sixteen months have passed since the introduction of the Huawei P40 series, and we still have not seen the P50 series. Huawei shared the first official image of the Huawei P50 series at the HarmonyOS event held in June, and heralded that the phones will debut this year. The introduction of the P50 series has been delayed three times so far due to US sanctions. It seems that there is no longer an obstacle in front of Huawei, which has solved the processor problem by supplying the Snapdragon 888 4G from Qualcomm.
Huawei P50 Series Just 2 Weeks Away
While many sources close to Huawei point to the date of July 29 for the introduction of the P50 series, it is interesting that Huawei has not yet formalized this date. In fact, some recent reports state that the P50 series will be available in August. In the first place, the 4G version model will meet with consumers in many markets.
Speaking of the introduction date and sales process, let’s continue here and focus on the price of the P50 series. At this point, we cannot reference the prices of the P40 series, as the lack of 5G connectivity in the P50 series makes the price issue uncertain, as the relatively cheaper Snapdragon 888 4G processor will be used instead.
Huawei will completely change the design in the P50 series. On the front, the camera is now one and placed in the center on the screen. The real change is in the back. On the phone, which will have a rear camera design that we have not seen before, two large pill-shaped holes are preferred for three and quad camera packages. The P50 will have three cameras, while the P50 Pro will have four cameras.
The P50 model will have a Sony IMX707 sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels in the main camera. Another camera will be wide-angle, and the sensor to be used here is reportedly Sony IMX600. The third camera on the P50 will be a telephoto sensor with 3x zoom.
When we look at the P50 Pro model, we will see a 1-inch Sony IMX800 sensor on the main camera. The wide-angle camera will have an Omnivision OV64A sensor, while a periscope camera with 5x zoom will be used for effective zooming. The camera unit of the P50 Pro will also have a ToF camera.
The Huawei P50 will use a 6.3-inch 120Hz flat OLED display with Full HD + resolution. The screen on the P50 Pro model is 6.6 inches. The curved OLED screen with a resolution of 2696 x 1224 pixels will support 120Hz scanning rate.
