Samsung has started working on the Android 12 update. So when will the new Android version meet Galaxy phones?
The majority of Samsung users are wondering when their phone or tablet will be upgraded to Android 12. Along with Android 12, Galaxy phones will be presented with the One UI 4.0 user interface. With the changes on both Android and One UI fronts, we can say that users are waiting for a new interface experience.
So when will the Android 12 / One UI 4.0 update arrive on your Galaxy device? Since Samsung is not officially included in the beta program of Android 12, our evaluations at this point will not be more than guesswork. Of course, we will refer to Samsung’s previous update calendars while making this estimation.
Samsung May Start Distributing Android 12 in December
First of all, Samsung has started Android12 work for the Galaxy S21 series in-house. These development studies, which are still in their infancy, started a month ago compared to the Galaxy S20 series. This naturally means that if things go well, the update will be released a month earlier than last year. Probably in October, Samsung will announce the beta program for some countries.
For the past few years, Samsung has been bringing new Android updates first to the Galaxy S series. This will continue for Android 12, and the new version will first be transferred to the Galaxy S21 series. Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra owners will get the stable Android 12 One UI 4.0 update in December.
The post-Galaxy S21 update will be released this time for Galaxy Note 20 models. Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra will meet the new version of the green robot after a month, not much.
Samsung’s new foldable phones Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are also expected to be on the priority list. Previous-generation foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip, may also receive the update in December.
The vast majority of mid-range devices, especially the Galaxy A series models, probably won’t get Android 12 until the first half of 2022. Flagship phones have always been Samsung’s priority.
Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 series phones are also expected to be upgraded to Android 12. You can take a look at the possible Samsung devices that will receive the Android 12 update from our news here.
