Will Windows 11 be free? So when will Windows 10 users be able to install the new version? Here’s a statement from Microsoft.
As of last week, Microsoft introduced the Windows 11 operating system. Surveys indicated that about a quarter of users do not intend to install a new version of the operating system, while the remaining three quarters are ready to update their PC’s software. So will Windows 11 be free? When will Windows 10 users be able to upgrade?
Windows 11 is Free, But…
Microsoft has not officially announced that Windows 11 will be free for Windows 10 owners, but all reputable sources agree that Windows 11 will be free until a certain date. But there won’t be a free upgrade in 2021.
Microsoft clarified this development, which was curious on a question posed on Twitter. It looks like Microsoft will change the terms of the software update. Windows 11 will be available in the fall of 2021, but it will only be possible to update for free in the first half of next year. Until then, everyone will have to buy the licensed version of Windows 11.
In this case, if you are a Windows 10 user, you will have to wait until the first half of 2022 before you can download the update officially and for free.
When will be release date though?
