The Steam Beta Update offers more on controllers as well as full Xbox Game Controller support. The Steam client gained expanded Xbox Controller support and more with the beta update coming on January 5th.

With full support, trigger rumble support is added for games using Windows.Gaming.Input.API, and allows users to connect the Xbox Elite game controllers and the Xbox Series X controller share button in the controller configuration. While the option can be enabled in the General Controller Setting section of your Steam settings, it requires a driver installation and restarting your computer.

The new Steam client beta update also adds the ability to turn off the PlayStation 5 controller gamepad LED and more. This setting enables the LED by default only when multiple controllers are connected. In addition, Wooting Two keyboard support has been added, while non-controller input devices such as HOTAS and G15 can now be used when Global Controller Configuration Support is enabled in Controller Settings.

Note that the Steam client January 5 update is only available for those who have participated in the beta.

Meanwhile, the 2020 Steam Awards have also found their owners.
