In late December 2020, the Chinese tech giant launched the Xiaomi Redmi 9 Power in India as the rebranded Redmi Note 9 4G. This smartphone is launched in two storage configurations. Now, almost two months later, the company has announced it will release a third memory version. Ishan Agarwal, one of the popular tipsters on Twitter, partnered with 91Mobiles to bring in new information about the already official Redmi 9 Power. According to him, Xiaomi India will launch a new high storage variant of this phone.

It is reported that the new version of Redmi 9 Power will come with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. When we look at the price, we see that it will be sold at a very affordable price of $ 179. Currently available 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB versions are sold in India for $ 150 and $ 165. It is interesting to see Xiaomi bringing the 6 GB RAM variant of the Redmi 9 Power in India. Because this feature is one of the features of the POCO M3, another phone from the Xiaomi group with almost the same features, that distinguishes it from Redmi.

As such, the Redmi 9 Power, 6GB + 128GB variant, which will be released with the same size of RAM and an additional 8 MP ultra wide angle camera, seems to be a better option. However, this new friend will cost $ 27 more than the POCO M3 6GB + 128GB model.

Some of the highlights of the Redmi 9 Power include a 6.53-inch FHD + LCD panel, Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC, dual stereo speakers, Android 10 based MIUI 12, 6000 mAh battery, 18W fast charging and more. The use of stereo speakers in the sound output is also a great detail.
