Xiaomi Exec company surveyed whether Xiaomi users prefer AMOLED or LCD screens. The results will have a huge impact on the company!
Xiaomi is one of the companies that frequently do surveys to determine customer satisfaction. Xiaomi Group Vice President and Managing Director of Redmi Lu Weibing recently published a survey on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website. Xiaomi asked users on the social media platform whether they prefer an AMOLED or LCD display. The majority preferred the first to the second.
In the survey, more than 14,000 people chose AMOLED panels as their preferred display option, while only 6051 people chose LCD panels. The senior official of the Chinese tech giant added that there are still many people who prefer LCD panels, but most of them choose AMOLED. Interestingly enough, many users preferred LCD screens last year. For this reason, the manager has checked the preferences this year as well.
Redmi has made a surprise for the Note 10 series this year after the IPD LCD display was used in the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 9 series. AMOLED screen has come to the new series. In 2020, the Redmi K30 series was launched with sports LCD panels reaching the highest brightness of up to 650 nits. On the other hand, the Redmi K40 series, which was launched this year, came with OLED screens. The latest series featured the Samsung E4 AMOLED panel offering the highest brightness with a contrast ratio of 5 million: 1.
