YuYu Hakusho News: THAT YUSUKE YES YOU CAN SEE
We have good news for YuYu Hakusho fans, because thanks to a Twitter user we have our first image of the live action prepared by Netflix. In the photo we can see the Japanese actor, Takumi Kitamura, as Yusuke Urameshi, the protagonist of the manga and anime.
Although we only have this photo at the moment. We can see that, at least in clothing, they are being true to his origins, as Kitamura is wearing Yusuke’s iconic green suit. In addition, it is appreciated that they have chosen a Japanese actor to play the role.
WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE YUYU HAKUSHO SERIES.
YuYu Hakusho is one of the most popular anime in Japan and on this side of the world. In it, we followed the story of Yusuke Urameshi, a troubled young man who dies saving a child from being run over. After some tests in the underworld, he returns to life as a detective who must investigate demons and apparitions in the mortal world.
YuYu Hakusho’s new live-action series is a joint effort of Japanese companies Robot and Toho, along with streaming giant Netflix. Since December of last year it was announced that it was in development and for the first time we have a look at what awaits us that is being developed as a Netflix Original series.
There is no official release date yet and production began just a few days ago, so maybe YuYu Hakusho’s series will be hitting the streaming service until next year. So far it is only known that Kitamura will play the main character. Perhaps as time progresses we will have more photos from the production that show us Kazuma, Botan or even Keiko Yukimura.
Let’s just hope it lives up to adaptations like that of Rurouni Kenshin and not like that of Dragon Ball Evolution. Do you think it will be a good live action?
